Rugby in the Summer Time - play flag rugby this summer with YMRRC

YMRRC families;

We are excited to share with you our plans as we look ahead to our 2018 Rookie Rugby calendar. We expect this coming year to be one of growth for the club as we build on the successes of 2017's clinics and tournaments and expand our activities to include a Summer Season and growing our Fall Season offerings.

YMRRC Summer - JUNE/JULY

Most of the flag rugby organizations in southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey play primarily in the summer. Starting this year we too intend to field co-ed teams for boys and girls ages 6 through 12 to take part in flag rugby tournaments hosted by clubs in our area during the months of June and July.

The YMRRC Summer program will comprise approximately 6 local tournaments held on weekends in June and July, as well as practices. The number of teams we field in each age group will depend on the number of players to sign up and the availability of coaches in each division. The participation fee for YMRRC Summer will be $50 per child.

Please note we are aware of certain conflicts - baseball and softball, or vacation - that may mean your child cannot make all tournaments. Provided you believe your son/daughter can be available for at least 3 summer tournaments we welcome his/her participation.

YMRRC Fall - SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

Once again we will be running our Fall rugby program at Edgewood Elementary's fields in Lower Makefield. This season we will be expanding our program to include boys and girls from Kindergarten through 7th grade. Building on the success of our LEAGUE format from 2017, we plan to run skills-based clinics for Kindergarten through 2nd grade and expand our league format for 3rd through 6th graders (a 3rd/4th/5th grade league and a 6th/7th grade league). Skills clinics will be on Sundays beginning September 9. League practices and games will be held on Thursday evenings and Sundays beginning September 7. The participation fee for YMRRC Fall will be $50 per child. A combined Summer/Fall registration will be available for $80.
